B/E Aerospace designs, develops and manufactures a broad range of products for both commercial aircraft and business jets. The Seating Aftermarket Organization business in Winston-Salem, North Carolina produces and procures newly designed and existing airline seating components and distributes them to our customers world-wide. Due to increasing customer bookings and increased sales, we are currently looking for an intern to work in our Program Management Department. The successful candidate will be well-organized and capable of juggling multiple tasks while being able to prioritize the work load. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This intern position will work with the SAO Program Management Team to assist with the tasks associated with active programs and to achieve the program milestones in a timely manner in support of customer expectations. The position will focus more on administrative tasking as opposed to highly technical or engineering related tasking. Typical workload may include the following types of tasks: Tracking of program metrics primarily utilizing excel spreadsheets Project Plan development, modification and tracking using MS Project Gathering, collating, copying and distributing shipping and certification documents and invoices Developing and updating Program Action Registers Participate in program review meetings both internal and those with the customer Meeting minutes Update Program Action Register Schedule / Reschedule program status review meetings Assist with maintaining program master schedules Participate in internal production meetings Expedite test article parts, information, data and documentation from customers and suppliers Assist with external resource procurement and miscellaneous administrative support associated with program testing requirements Work with customer representatives to understand program schedules Forecast and track program related part delivery receipts, Track internal repair kit turn times Expedite shipments of Repair Kits from B/E to Customers Participate in departmental PPS and Continuous Improvement programs Assist with the development and documentation of SAO Program Management processes, procedures and work instructions. This intern is required fall semester, 2012 (ASAP).
