Student Intern apply Job Location: Boston, MA Department::Ophthalmic Epidemiology & Genetic Services Schedule:Per Diem-Variable Status Shift:Per diem Grade:80 Hours:M-F 8 to 12 Noon Job Details: Bachelor's degree is preferred Ophthalmic Epidemiology and Genetics Service The Student/Intern provides assistance in support of research activities under close supervision by staff within the Ophthalmic Epidemiology and Genetics Service. Assists with enrolling, scheduling, and following-up with subjects in studies by telephone or by mail. Schedules study appointments. Performs data entry. Will upload study images on CD’s or DVD’s. May also perform routine centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens under supervision, and sample and computer data management with detailed documentation. The Student/Intern maintains collaborative, team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working groups’ achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment. Requirements: Enrollment in Bachelor’s Degree Program Strong communication skills Highly organized and attentive to detail Knowledge of medical terminology Computer skills Database management skills helpful Some experience in research related activities preferred
