Internship opportunities include but are not limited to research, design, analysis, simulation, and test. Applicant interests, course of study, coursework completed, and the availability of openings determine actual assignment. Interns are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge from college coursework, as well as a chance to network with professionals, tour manufacturing and/or research facilities and attend social activities. Full-time students pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in one of the following engineering or technical disciplines, including but not limited to: Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and Welding Engineering. Applicants must be pursuing an engineering degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship. If transferring from a two-year institution, students must have completed 12 semester hours at the four-year university prior to the start of the internship. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8/4.0 (no rounding). Applicants will be considered for internships throughout the United States. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS & COMPUTER ENGINEERS - Engineers interested in developing real time embedded system software, microprocessor applications, control system hardware and/or software, electro-hydraulic hardware, sensor technology, power generation, power electronics, electromagnetic compatibility, and electro-mechanical drive design and information management for engine and machine applications. MECHANICAL ENGINEERS - Engineers interested in the product and process design, power generation and electro-mechanical drive design, analysis, test, and simulation of manufacturing and machine/engine systems and components.
