Internship Requirements: A current college student- communications, public relations, marketing or journalism major. Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. A strong intellectual curiosity and positive attitude. Ability to understand PR functions, define and exceed goals and follow project directions independently or working with other staff. Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Twitter and Facebook is a must. Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Word Press and LinkedIn preferred. Responsibilities Include: Engagement in daily account activities, including news writing and editing. Participation in strategy development. Active involvement with media relations and editorial tracking. Media list development. Assistance with special events and press conferences. Support in creative efforts and tactical execution, including traditional media relations and social media management. Industry research of media, market and competing brands.
