Will assist New Orleans office staff with special events which include but are not limited to Relay for Life, Hope Gala, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and DetermiNation. Details below: Hours: 15-20 hours per week (May include some night meetings) Term: Mid May until Mid August (tentatively) Sports Marketing Events: Research running groups, endurance events, gyms, and opportunities to engage the running community with our DetermiNation program in the New Orleans area. Assist in recruiting leads for our programs, making the ask, and follow up calls. Assist in Information Sessions and special events as needed. Specialty Events: Assist with needs for our Hope Gala and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events in the market. Marketing/Publicity: Assist in grassroots efforts to create a buzz for our event campaigns Social Media: Generate interest via social media to recruit, engage, and retain volunteers, runners, and participants with our specialty events Position Requirements Must be a current student in an undergraduate or graduate program with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7. Must be highly motivated, positive, and able to work independently. Ability to assist with some events after normal business hours is a plus.
