The Operations Team is responsible for processing every project on the website and making sure the workflow process is fully scalable, as well as providing customer service to teachers and donors. This school year the Operations team is focused on increasing our productivity by 20%, while at the same time providing excellent customer service. As a Logistics and Business Relations Intern at DonorsChoose.org you will become a valuable resource to our Operations team by organizing, analyzing and supporting detail-oriented projects and ongoing tasks. Interns will: o Conduct data analysis regarding materials inquiries from teachers o Pitch vendors on adding products to their catalogs based on teacher requests o Create content for our forums and Help Center to help teachers get the right materials for their needs o Run vendor performance reports and identify areas for improvement o Assist in the creation of a product index of our vendors’ offerings and FAQ page about our vendors o Perform analysis on potential vendors to add to our directory o Answer teachers’ fulfillment and materials inquiries and perform other customer service functions o Make suggestions to improve functionality of custom-made back-end website technology and efficiency of current policies and procedures Preferred Skills/Interests: o Students of any backgrounds are encouraged to apply but students with interests in business, communications, economics, liberal arts, and technology may find the internship particularly appealing. o Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint o Attention to detail, self-sufficiency, and an entrepreneurial attitude o Knowledge of SQL and high level of Excel proficiency particularly useful o Part-time candidates may be considered All DonorsChoose.org internships are unpaid.
