The CBS Interactive office in El Segundo is the main west coast division of digital media sales for the sports vertical of CBSi. We represent the network directly to our advertising clients and their agencies throughout the west coast, including the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver and Dallas markets. It is the primary responsibility of the sales team to generate and maintain strong relationships with advertisers and ensure on-going business while managing a strong stream of ad revenue throughout each quarter. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the sales team in daily operations - Work with Account Coordinators on pulling and organization of screen-shots of live campaigns - Maintain west coast Home Page Takeover / sponsorship working report and cross check with Account Coordinators and Managers that inventory is reserved - Assist sales team in signature of Insertion Orders by management, ensuring proper T&Cs are added to each document - Help Account Managers with creation of sales decks and presentation materials - Research industry trends as they apply to clients specific to the west coast - Keep up to date competitive analysis and research on CBSSports and other major sports publishers in the marketplace. Required skills/experience: - Strong written and verbal communications skills - comfortable working in fast pace environment - Previous experience or knowledge of online media sales / digital advertising - Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - We are seeking a self-starter who has a genuine interest in the subject matter and is - Experience with Google Apps is a plus - MUST BE a currently enrolled in college (Junior or Senior) at the time of the internship - Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to gather requirements from non-technical users to create solutions and explanations. Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in college/university with at least one semester to go after completion of internship.
