Vittana is looking for a stellar, internet-savvy, and scrappy Marketing Intern to work part-time with our VP of Product and Marketing. You’ll join a world-caliber, passionate, award-winning team (Clinton Global Initiative 2010 partner; Economist: “hotbed of innovation”; FastCompany: “10 Most Innovative Companies in Finance”; Seattle 2.0 Awards “Best Nonprofit 2011”) working to bring student loans to developing countries for the first time. We’re growing at an incredible rate, and we need someone like you to spread the word, across campuses nationwide, and create a community to ignite involvement around our cause. While this position may involve some traditional office duties, you’ll also get to see our day-to-day operations first-hand, potentially working with several members of our team (and we’re such a fun, happy, genuine bunch that you’ll want to be involved!). The Need: We need you to execute a plan (and several creative experiments) to grow our awareness and engagement with students across university campuses. Your Mission: - Create and execute a plan to grow the number of college students and alumni in a ranked list of campuses – Establish Vittana campus advocates, develop/execute campaigns or contests that appeal to students and drive engagement and support for our cause – Partner with organizations that have leverage on campus - Proactively build relationships and engage key advocates for the Vittana Brand - Monitor analytics and report back results. We’re data driven, so you should be, too; capable of offering recommendations on how to improve results. Your Skills & Interests: - More than just a broad understanding of marketing, social media and events; some experience in working on a campaign or digital media, creating marketing tools and assets, and an understanding of the metrics to track progress in outreach - Creativity—do you have what it takes to design, pitch, and launch new ideas for engagement? - Social venture savvy; ideally some background in the world of organizations with big audacious goals - Background in marketing; ability to design campaigns based on our target demographic - Belief in our mission; we have a big audacious goal, and there’s a certain amount of passion that we all bring to work to make that happen - An ability to bring fun and energy to work. Your Commitment: - 20 hrs/weekly - Ideally/typically in-office, but some remote work is a-okay as we sometimes find we’re more productive from home, too - This is an immediate need, so the onboarding process will be speedy!
