Popular comedy internet radio show is in immediate need of a communications and production intern to facilitate in all aspects of production, organization, and promotion.. This internship will provide you with an opportunity learn how to produce a multi-camera live web broadcast, as well as how to manage all facets of the show behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing social media and fan interactions - Assisting with the marketing and promotion of merchandise - Assist with planning segments - Book guests for the show - Updating show websites - Creating promotional material for shows and events - Unexpected tasks which require creativity and problem solving The desired candidates: - Have a great sense of humor and a genuine love of comedy - Always use professional email and phone skills - Are reliable and dependable - Show creativity - Organizational skills - Are computer savvy, and can learn new applications quickly (Mac preferred) - Are organized - you will be responsible for ordering and tracking things - Don't mind being on mic and camera regularly This internship is currently unpaid, but may lead to a paid position. Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to meet some very funny comedians. Some past examples include Jim Norton, Bill Burr, Robert Kelly, Keith Robinson, Doug Benson, Steve-O, Todd Glass, and many more. You will learn how to run all aspects of a successful comedy podcast while having fun in a very laid back environment. Hours for this position will vary, but anticipate 15-20 hours per week. Most work will be required Monday-Friday during the afternoons, but we can be flexible with your schedule. Some night or weekend activities may require attendance. A lot of the responsibilities for this position can be managed from home or a mobile device once you are familiar with them.
