We are looking for ambitious corporate interns to assist with design related duties for Nordstrom Product Group Kidswear team. At our Seattle Headquarters, we work in partnership with other areas of the Company to support our frontline salespeople and customers. Interns in our Seattle Headquarters will gain exposure to many aspects of our business, working on challenging projects with milestones, deliverables and deadlines. The ideal candidates have an enthusiasm for customer service and are motivated achievers and hardworking team players. Responsibilities * Assist in research and compilation of season trend presentations * Create seasonal archive process for design samples * Research to validate specific color and styling trends as directed by designers * Assist in set up of design rooms for design review presentations * Organize fabric quality references by classification to create comprehensive reference Qualifications * Must be a sophomore or junior in an accredited degree program in apparel design or related subject * Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite * Textile fiber/construction knowledge * Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint * Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work in a team oriented environment The Nordstrom Internship program is open to college students currently in their sophomore and junior years who are enrolled in accredited institutions and applicable degree programs. This Internship program starts June 13, 2010 and ends August 12, 2010.
