Job Summary: To work under the direction of the Microbiology Lab Supervisor to design, perform, and report on project based work and/or perform ongoing analysis of samples involved in the development, manufacture and quality control of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals and personal care products. Work in a safe manner. Comply with Melaleuca policies. Follow lab procedures & maintain cleanliness of work area. Successfully complete internal training necessary to be qualified to perform the duties necessary to carry out experiments. Together with lab supervisor, design and execute projects. Set up laboratory equipment needed. Conduct experiments described. Document all data in laboratory notebook. Work with lab supervisor to assess the outcome of experiments. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Majoring in related discipline at an accredited university 6. Computer skills such as excel and word processing software. 2. At a minimum, completed two years of coursework in related discipline. 7. Sitting with intermittent walking. 3. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy. 8. Communicate (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and by phone. 4. Ability to make and record detailed observations. 9. Visually read reports, computer screen, etc. 5.
