We independently evaluate the quality and consistency of SRC's products and processes in an effort to achieve the highest level of quality and consistency. Our approach emphasizes continuous improvement in all aspects of our work. The Intern will provide analytical and project support to the Quality Management function within the Supervision, Regulation and Credit Department. This involves assisting with quality assurance reviews and quality improvement projects within a highly professional environment. There will be opportunities to participate in a range of tasks and assignments, including cross-functional quality improvement activities. The internship provides exposure to quality management processes, activities, and tools (e.g., process mapping, root cause analysis). The Intern will operate within a small team dedicated to promoting continuous improvement in all facets of the department, interfacing with all organizational levels and work units. Key responsibilities will include: Assist in the development of work programs used in for quality assurance testing; Conduct analyses of business processes, procedures, and other data to identify trends and areas for potential improvement; Collaborate with senior team members to develop reports, present findings and make recommendations to management in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes; Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects under the direction of senior team members; Organize and maintain the Quality Management intranet website and/or Quality Council SharePoint site (no HTML experience required). Minimum Qualifications Minimum 6 months experience working within a professional business environment; this requirement may be satisfied by prior internships, jobs or co-op placements. MBA student preferred; however students pursuing studies in other business-related disciplines and senior level undergraduates will be considered. Requires strong organizational, general analytical, oral and written communication skills. Candidates should be familiar with standard office software such MS Word and Excel. The internship is part-time during the academic year and ideally full-time during summer; the schedule is flexible. Preferably we are looking for someone to start mid- December 2012. This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, access to which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined by regulation of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent resident aliens (also known as "green card holders") who are eligible for and seeking United States citizenship within the requisite timeframes. All employees assigned to this position will be subject to an FBI fingerprint/criminal background check and Patriot Act / Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) watch list checks at least once every five years.
