Archives Internship-227897 Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Primary Location MA-Boston Full-time / Part-time Full-time Employee Status Temporary Overtime Status Non-exempt Job Type Internship Travel No Shift Day Job The Boston Fed will provide an exciting opportunity for an archival intern to assist the Bank archivist with various projects. Research will involve Bank’s archives collection and online research with the photographic collections of Library of Congress and National Archives and Records Administration. On-site research at Boston Public Library among other institutions will be required. Strong research skills are required in assisting with all aspects of the project. Strong organizational and technical skills are a must. Strong written and oral communications skills are required as it is anticipated that interviews with present and former employees will be conducted to help with determining important themes and events as well as the identification of individuals, equipment and processes represented in photographs. Ability to work independently and attention to minute detail are required. A Full time (40hr/week) schedule is preferable, however we will consider part-time candidates (minimum of 15hrs per week during normal business hours). Education Requirement: Post-graduate degree candidates in librarianship/archives or history highly desirable. Candidate must at minimum be enrolled in a graduate level program in one of these areas or have comparable experience.
