The Human Capital team is responsible for the overall recruiting, training and developing of talent at DonorsChoose.org. The Human Capital team drives DonorsChoose.org’s overall success by acquiring, developing and retaining the high-performing talent needed by all teams. Our team fosters an environment of achievement, diversity, innovation and leadership development to ensure that our workplace is unlike any other of its kind. This team is also responsible for managing internal office and IT operations. As an intern for the Human Capital team you will learn, HR policies and resources, office management, and customer/employee satisfaction. Interns will: • Help streamline Human Capital processes • Update disaster recovery processes and policies • Organize Taleo, a talent screening tool • Computer hardware testing (i.e. monitors, desktops) to see if we can discard or donate items • Update Human Capital Wiki page • Create checklist for HR files and ensure all documents are up to date Preferred Skills/Interests • Basic IT skills, expert skills not required • Able to work independently and take direction • Highly organized with great attention to detail • Interest in learning about Human Resources All internships at DonorsChoose.org are unpaid.
