Do you have what it takes to produce some kick-ass videos? The BookRenter Marketing team is looking for a smart, capable and ambitious intern to help us create a series of videos to support our social media strategy. This paid intern will help shape the character of our YouTube channel with original video projects (both web series and one-off videos), in a variety of styles with a wide-range appeal to college students. Requirements: -Must be enrolled in an accredited school with a GPA of at least 3.0 -Knowledge of and ability to use various types of video recording equipment -Ability to produce videos independently, with little additional outside support -Working knowledge of at least one type of video editing software (MAC) -Familiarity with incorporating music into videos and copyright laws (royalty-free music as well as copyrighted) -Ability to develop and expand upon visual narratives and storyboards from simple concepts -Ability to coordinate all individual elements of video production including video, sound, people, scheduling, locations -Take direction and constructive feedback easily to improve final product -Use of social video platforms and apps such as YouTube, Vimeo, Vine -Highly social student – please include number of Facebook friends, Twitter and Instagram followers -Extremely interested in pop culture, up-to-date on current events -Capacity to think quickly on your feet and identify social opportunities quickly and efficiently -Experience interviewing people on-camera -Exploring a variety of topics, approaching sometimes difficult subjects from an unbiased perspective -Research and fact-checking skills important Background: -College junior, senior or graduate student majoring in Film/Video Production, Cinematography, Communications/Marketing or Photography/Photojournalism with an emphasis on video Details: Please include resume, cover letter, and an attachment or link to one video you’ve created (five minutes in length or shorter preferred). Within your cover letter, please explain the video project you managed in more detail, and the elements of the project from conception to completion.
